DayLeaf ("we", "our") is operated by silicasites. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the DayLeaf app and related web pages at silicasites.com/dayleaf.
What we collect
- Account information: email address and optional display name when you create an account.
- Journal content: notes and entries you create in the app, stored locally on your device.
- Technical data: basic logs needed to operate auth and security (e.g. sign-in timestamps).
How we use information
We use your information to provide authentication, manage your account and Premium subscription, maintain the service, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal data.
Local-first design
DayLeaf is designed to work locally on your device. Journal entries are not uploaded to the cloud. A DayLeaf account is for sign-in and Premium — not for storing your journal online. Export your data anytime from Settings.
Data storage
Account information is stored on our self-hosted Supabase infrastructure. Journal entries remain on your device. Account data is protected by access controls and row-level security policies.
Your choices
You may export your journal from Settings or request account deletion by contacting us. You can use the app without signing in for local-only journaling.
